Earlier this week Apple announced the iPad, in essence a larger version of the iPhone without the ability to make phone calls. I hypothesised about what form Apple’s tablet would take in my last post and whilst I correctly guessed a couple of the features of the new touch-sensitive handheld device, it was largely a given considering what other similar devices offer. There has been a considerable amount of interest surrounding Apple’s event on January 27th. Various sources have speculated that it’s when Apple are going to unveil their strongly rumoured tablet device. Whether the tablet will be announced or not time will tell, but I thought I’d share my thoughts on it and similarly placed mobile devices. (more…)
